It administratively belongs to the prefecture of Corfu, which is also the southernmost point, ecclesiastically in the Holy Metropolis of Corfu, Paxos and Diaponti islands and geographically in the Ionian Islands. The area of the island is 4.1 sq. Km and its population was 20 inhabitants according to the 2011 census, living in the homonymous settlement, which is the only island on the island.
