Kefalonia, is an island of the Ionian Sea and belongs to the Ionian Islands. The Kefalonia coastline forms many bays and capes. The most famous bays are Sami, Myrtos, Lourda, Athera, Fiscardo, Livadi, Argostoli.
Kefalonia is the largest and most mountainous island of the Ionian Islands and the third in a population after Corfu and Zakynthos. It is opposite the entrance of the Patraikos Gulf, north of Zakynthos, south of Lefkada and west of Ithaca.
